What main impact did Andrew Jackson have on the geography of the Southern states?

Jackson believed that Americans should spread themselves all over America.  He believed that it was their destiny.  He also believed that it was inevitable that this would happen and that the Indians would eventually have to leave their lands as they expanded to the West.
