the answer is -  [tex]\frac{5}{12}[/tex]

given - 2 [tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex] ÷ [tex]\frac{6}{1}[/tex]

change the mixed number to an improper fraction

- 2 [tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex] = - [tex]\frac{5}{2}[/tex]

• leave the first fraction

• change division to multiplication

• turn the second fraction upside down

- [tex]\frac{5}{2}[/tex]× [tex]\frac{1}{6}[/tex] = - [tex]\frac{5(1)}{2(6)}[/tex] = - [tex]\frac{5}{12}[/tex]
