point slope formula is [tex]y-y_1=m(x-x_1)[/tex] where the slope is m and it passes through the point (x1,y1)

given slope =2 and a point is (-1,-3)

m=2, x1=-1, y1=-3

[tex]y-y_1=m(x-x_1)[/tex]

[tex]y-(-3)=2(x-(-1))[/tex]

[tex]y+3=2(x+1)[/tex] is the equation
