Both Group want a specific Area that Located in Palestine.
The vast majority of Israel citizens are Jewish. In their bible, there was a specific place which was promised by the God as their "Holy Land" which located on Palestine.
Meanwhile, politically, that Country was belong to the Palestines, which is a Muslim Country, and the Arabs did not want it to be Acquired by the Jewish Country.
