Answer:

Juxtaposition describes when things are placed against each other to create contrast. This can refer to objects/images lined up next to each other, events happening back to back, elements of the same event contrasting with each other, and so on. A paradox, on the other hand, is a statement that contradicts itself yet may still contain a kernel of truth within that contradiction. Paradoxes are the kind of mixed up logic that make your brain hurt.
