[tex] x^3 + 2x^2 - 15x [/tex]

first we can factor out an x
[tex] x(x^2 + 2x - 15) [/tex]

then we find a pair of numbers that multiply to -15 and add up to 2

this would be 5 and -3
because 5 times -3 = -15
and -3 + 5 = 2

we would then get
[tex] x(x-3)(x+5) [/tex]

this would be you answer :)
