Find the value or values of y in the quadratic equation y2 + 4y + 4 = 7

Ok to start off, For the future use ^ to show exponents, example; y^2

y^2 + 4y +4 = 7

subtract 7 from both sides making one side equal zero, this now looks like a quadratic equation, right? Solve. 

y=−2±√7
