Answer:

Difference.

The average of a number is the sum of all the numbers divided by the number of numbers.

While the average of a function ( maybe continuous function) is the sum of all the numbers which has no end divided by infinite.

Similarity.

They are both averages and their method of calculation is same , add the numbers divided by the number
