What is the equation of a line that passes through (-6, 2) and has a slope of `-(1)/(2)`

Slope intercept form is y=-1/2+b

We can input the point (-6, 2) into the equation to get b.

2=-1/2 * -6 +b

2=3+b

b=-1

So the equation is y=-1/2x-1
