1. The rule is that for something to be a function, one input(x-value) can ONLY HAVE ONE output(y-value). If one input has more than one output, it is not a function. Your answer is #1 because you can only have 1 output

2. Since you've been given the input -> x = -10, substitute/plug it into the equation to find the output:

[tex]y=\frac{3}{2} x+6[/tex]      Plug in -10 into "x"

[tex]y=\frac{3}{2} (-10)+6[/tex]

y = -15 + 6

y = -9         Your answer is #2
