The mass of the rocket is 1 kg. So when it stands on the launch pad, it weighs 9.8 N. (Weight= m•g).

But its engines only produce 6N of thrust, and that's not enough force to lift it straight up. It needs at least 9.8N to lift straight up off the pad.
