The Night of Broken Glass. Nazi troops destroyed businesses identified as enemies of the State, the overwhelming majority were Jewish businesses. Since they destroyed all of the storefronts, there was broken glass everywhere. The troops also rounded up and jailed important Business and political leaders in the Berlin Jewish community.
