Use the chain rule:

[tex]y=\ln(\sin(3x))[/tex]

[tex]y'=(\ln(\sin(3x)))'[/tex]

[tex]y'=\dfrac{(\sin(3x))'}{\sin(3x)}[/tex]

[tex]y'=\dfrac{\cos(3x)(3x)'}{\sin(3x)}[/tex]

[tex]y'=\dfrac{3\cos(3x)}{\sin(3x)}[/tex]

[tex]y'=3\cot(3x)[/tex]
