Undo the equation

Y x 3 + 1 = 100

Y = Age of Son

Undo by doing inverse operations

Subtract 1 and divide by 3

100-1=99

99/3=33

33 is younger son's age

33 x 2 = 66 + 1 = 67

Younger son's age is 33 and man is 67
