Compounds are a substance composed of identical molecules consisting of atoms of two or more chemical elements.
And a mixture is the physical combination of two or more substances.

compounds and mixtures are diff because mixture contains two or more substances mixed, but neither chemically as well as not in inexact quantity while compound includes two or more elements combined chemically and in a fixed ratio.
