the distance bertween points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is
D=[tex] \sqrt{(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2} [/tex]

we have
(0.12,0.56) to (0.44,0.81)

x1=0.12
y1=0.56
x2=0.44
y2=0.81

D=[tex] \sqrt{(0.44-0.12)^2+(0.81-0.56)^2} [/tex]
D=[tex] \sqrt{(0.32)^2+(0.0.25)^2} [/tex]
D=[tex] \sqrt{0.1024+0.0625} [/tex]
D=[tex] \sqrt{0.1649} [/tex]
aprox
D=0.40607881008

the distance is

D=[tex] \sqrt{0.1649} [/tex] or aprox
D=0.40607881008
