A garden table and a bench cost $1014 combined. The garden table costs $64 more than the bench. What is the cost of the bench?

$475. First you subtract $64 from $1014. You get $950. Divide that in half and you get $475. The bench costs $475. Equation: $1014= $475+($475+$64)
