Thomas More's Utopia was such an important look at society because it showed all of its flaws. He created an impossible world where everything is perfect by pointing out everything that was wrong with the world he was already living in. Although he wanted to create a Utopia where he would rid the world of all evils and basically fix the existing society, it was an impossible deed and remained just an important book.
