8x+7y =8------P

x + y =8------q

multiplying 8 by q

we have

8x+8y = 64--------R

8x+7y=8------P

8x+8y=64----R Substracting R from P

-y = -56

y=56

putting the value of y in eq q

x+56=8

x=8-56

x= -48

(x,y)=( -48,56)

no solution (7,1)
