The most distinguishing factor of the Minoans is that they traded in bronze objects. This is very important as they were in the Bronze Age, a time where advanced agriculture appeared in the Aegean Sea (where they were based) and this flourished. The Aegean Sea is based in Greece. This progression for bronze tools spread to mainland Europe after the Minoan Civilization used it.
