5 kg of potatoes = $3.45

1 kg of potatoes = x

x = 3.45÷5

x = 0.69

1 kg of potatoes = $0.69

12 kg of potatoes = y

y = 0.69×12

y = 8.28

Therefore, 12 kg potatoes costs $8.28
