Hello there today we will solve your problem

here is our equation,

[tex]2-(3x+5y)[/tex],

Now we will plug in our numbers

__________________

  1. [tex]{\boxed{x=-3}}[/tex]
  2. [tex]{\boxed{y=4}[/tex]

__________________

[tex]2-(3\cdot-3+5\cdot4)[/tex]

simplify it and we get

[tex]2-(-9+20)[/tex]

[tex]2-11[/tex]

Hey there!

2 - (3x + 5y)

= 2 - (3(-3) + 5(4)

= 2 - (-9 + 20)

= 2 - 11

= -9

Therefore, your answer is: -9

Good luck on your assignment & enjoy your day!
