just multiply each number on the right by 12 since each cake has 12 pieces. if there were 2 cakes then there are 24 pieces just keep doing that all the way down

For c= 2, p = c * 12 = 2 * 12 = 24 pieces
For c= 4, p = c * 12 = 4 * 12 = 48 pieces
For c= 6, p = c * 12 = 6 * 12 = 72 pieces
For c = 8, p = c * 12 = 8 * 12 = 96 pieces
