1 Solve for a in 2a+3b=6

a=3(2-b)/2

2 Substitute a=3(2-b)/2 into 5a+2b-4=0

15(2-b)/2+2b-4=0

3 Solve for b in 15(2-b)/2+2b-4=0

b = 2

4 Substitute b=2 into a = 3(2-b)/2

a = 0

5 Therefore,

a=0
b=2

I hope this helps. :)
