The biggest obstacle that Brazil’s new democratic government
faced was the high debt.
The economy was very down during that time to the point that
there were no payments to be made. There
was also corruption, and mass inflation.
These problems required reforms to enable restructuring the debt of the
country in the World Banking Organizations, and IMF.
