[tex]{f(x) = x^2 - 12x + 20 = x^2-2x-10x+20 = x(x-2)-10(x-2) = (x-2)(x-10)}[/tex]

f(x)=0

[tex](x-2)(x-10)=0[/tex]

[tex]x-2=0 \ or \ x-10=0[/tex]

[tex]x=2 \ or \  x=10[/tex]
