Hello : let Q(0,1)    R(2,7)
the slope is :   (YR - YQ)/(XR -XQ)
(7-1)/(2-0)  = 3
an equation is : y=ax+b     a is a slope

y = 3X +b

 

the line through point Q(0,1) :  1= 3(0)+b
b = 1
the equation is : y =3x+1
