8(-6k - 3) = 8(3 - 4k)

Simplify everything :)

-48k - 24 = 24 - 32k

We'r essentially trying to get k onto it's own.

So, we must ADD 24 to both sides, as well as ADDING 32k to both sides.

-48k + 32k = 24 + 24

Simplify.

-16k = 48

Divide both sides by -16.

k = 48/-16

Simplify.

k = -3
