In a 30°-60°-90° triangle, the ratio of the lengths of the sides is 1:sqrt(3):2.
So, if the hypotenuse is 10 inches, one leg would be half of that, which is 5 inches, and the other leg would be sqrt(3) times that, which is approximately 8.66 inches.
