Difference in beliefs. after world war to the thousands of jews that had ran and hidden in (at the time a part of israel.) it was considered their original "holy land." and oncce they'd settled after some time they believed they should be their own nation. after they split, since then their has been war, because the israel people believe that Palestine is still rightfully israel's. the difference in religion only strengthened their opposition for eachother.
