y = mx + b
slope(m) = 7
(1,2)...x = 1 and y = 2
now we sub and find b, the y int
2 = 7(1) + b
2 = 7 + b
2 - 7 = b
-5 = b

so ur equation is : y = 7x - 5...but we need it in standard form

y = 7x - 5....subtract 7x from both sides
-7x + y = -5 ...some teachers allow this form, I prefer the first term to be positive.....so I would multiply by -1 and make it : 7x - y = 5
