The Lewis structure shows an arrangement of how the elements are connected to each other within a compound using electron dots or bonds. They follow the octet rule, wherein each element must be surrounded by 8 electrons. Each single bond consists of 2 electrons. An exception to this rule is the hydrogen atom. Thus, the resulting Lewis structure for hydrogen peroxide is shown in the attached picture.
