The standard form of this would be -x + y = 4/9

This is because standard form always needs to be ax + by = c, where a, b and c are real numbers. In order to get there from what you already have, all you need to do is subtract the x to the other side of the equation.

y = x + 4/9

-x -x

-x + y = 4/9
