A braid was bought to put around a blanket that measures 23 inches by 24 inches at $0.60 per yard how much was paid for the braid if it can only be purchased by the full yard

First, you would need to determine how many inches of braid is needed for the perimeter of a blanket. 
(23 × 2) + (24 × 2) 
46 in + 48 in = 94 in

Next, you would need to do is convert inches to meters.
1 inch = 0.0254 meters
94 in × 0.0254 m = 2.3876 meters

Now, since braid can only be purchased by the full yard, you would round up. 
 2.3876 meters ≈ 3 meters

You would need 3 meters of braid.
