Mrs. Bennet makes jane ride her horse ti mr. binglys so she'll get sick since it rained then she'll have to stay there. It sorta works. Jane does stay there and mr. bingly is excited for her to stay but nothing happend to further the relationship since mr. darcy comes in the way and takes mr. bingly away. And mrs. bennets actions are seen as a little to pushing in mr. darcys eyes so that is one of the reasons he takes mr. bingly away.
