Basically a slump happens along a cliff when the clay underneath it is saturated or easily erodible.So when heavy rainfall or other forces occur the top off the cliff falls and creates a sort of slumping shape. It’s also known as a land slip. So this would mainly happen to cliffs near the sea after rough waves or a cliff getting hit with rainwater.
