if a(x)=4x-2
b(x)=12-x
find b(a(3))
b(a(3))=12-(4(3)-2
12-(12-2)
12-10=2
b(a(3)=2
answer is 2

a(3) = 4(3)  − 2 = 10
so
b[a(3)] = 12 − 10 = 2
