Boiling points are affected by mass and intermolecular forces primarily. The larger the mass, the higher the bp. The more IMFs, specifically the strongest, Hydrogen Bonding, the higher the boiling point. This is because it takes more kinetic energy to break apart the molecules and bonds than it would a molecule with a lower mass or less intermolecular forces.
