The cost per individual unit of the bulk purchase is less than if you did not buy in bulk.

Step-by-step explanation:

When a consumer buys something in large number, he or she usually has to pay less or gets discount. As such the consumer pays less than the original selling price of the comodity if he buys in bulk. In other words the price per unit of the comodity decreases. The seller also makes a profit when he sells some items in bulk numbers as the seller sells in large quantities.
