Methanol, CH3OH, can be made by the reaction of CO with H2: CO(g) + 2H2(g) arrowrt.gif CH3OH(g). H° = -90.7 kJ/mol and S° = -90.88 J mol-1 K-1 for this reaction. How is G° for the reaction expected to vary with increasing temperature? Under standard conditions is the reaction spontaneous at 298 K?
