The legs of a right triangle are 12 centimetres and 8 centimeters. What is the length of the hypotenuse?

a² + b² = c²

12² + 8² = c²

c² = 144 + 64

c² = 208

c=√208

c= 4√13 or 14.42 (nearest hundredth)
