Scientists use dna to help classify organisms along with morphological and fossil evidence!  When they use DNA, this is called molecular evidence!  The DNA shows gene sequences for each part of the organism.  When these gene sequences are the same or closely related, then the organism can be classified together.  So the more genes that are the same = more likely the organisms are the same, so they can all be classified in the same group.
