Good Friday
In the Christian faith, the day is called "Good" Friday because of the good accomplished by it, even though the actions of that day were bloody and ugly. The crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth was carried out by Roman officials at the instigation of vehement demands from the Jewish community in Judea to have him executed.
